Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies are used on kid-institut.org, what purpose they serve and how you can manage your settings. It applies alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow certain information to be retained between page views — for example your login status. Cookies are set either by the web server (server cookies) or can be set by JavaScript in the browser (client cookies). We use server cookies only.
2. Cookies we use
This website uses strictly necessary cookies only. These are essential for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They do not perform any tracking or analytics functions and are not used for advertising purposes.
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| kid_session | Session management. Allows login to the member area and maintains your logged-in status. | Until browser is closed (session cookie) | Necessary |
| cookie_consent | Stores your cookie consent decision so the cookie notice is not shown again on return visits. | 180 days | Necessary |
| CSRF token | Security token protecting against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks. Regenerated with each form request. | Until browser is closed | Necessary |
3. No analytics or marketing cookies
We do not use analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Matomo), marketing or tracking cookies, or any third-party cookies. Our links to social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, Discord, YouTube) are simple hyperlinks without embedded widgets — clicking them takes you to an external website where the respective platform's privacy policy applies.
4. Legal basis
Technically necessary cookies are permitted without consent under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and §25(2) TDDDG (German/Austrian Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), as they are strictly required for the operation of the website. Marketing or analytics cookies would require explicit consent — we do not currently use such cookies.
5. Managing cookies
As we use only necessary cookies, there are no optional cookies to disable. Should we introduce optional cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent via the cookie notice.
You can disable or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Please note that disabling the session cookie will prevent you from logging in to the member area.

6. Updates to this policy
Should we introduce further cookies in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again via the cookie notice. The current version (1.0) of this policy is dated June 2026.
