Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern the use of the website kid-institut.org and all associated services and projects of KID-Institut. By registering as a member you agree to these terms.
1. About KID-Institut
KID-Institut – Bildungs- & Forschungs-Verein zu Künstlicher Intelligenz & Digitalisierung (Education & Research Association for Artificial Intelligence & Digitalisation) is a registered non-profit association based in A-3270 Scheibbs, Austria (ZVR register number: 1346623225). The association pursues exclusively non-profit purposes and does not sell services or products in a commercial sense. Membership fees serve solely to finance the association's operations and project development.
2. Services Offered
All programmes, websites, documents and other resources made available by KID-Institut serve exclusively educational and research purposes. Access to individual projects and features depends on the respective membership level.
KID-Institut reserves the right to modify, expand or discontinue services, projects and features at any time. There is no entitlement to the permanent availability of specific content unless expressly agreed in writing.
3. Membership and Access
Membership with KID-Institut is personal and non-transferable. Access credentials (username and password) must be kept confidential and must not be shared with third parties.
Members are obliged to provide truthful information when registering and to keep it up to date.
KID-Institut reserves the right to suspend or terminate memberships without notice in the event of a breach of these Terms of Use or misuse of the services.
4. Personal Responsibility and Use at Own Risk
Any use of the resources, programmes and content provided is entirely at the member's own responsibility and risk.
In particular, when using AI-assisted tools, trading tools (e.g. within the TraderzClub project) or other analytical tools, decision-making responsibility lies exclusively with the member. The content provided does not constitute professional legal, financial or investment advice.
5. Limitation of Liability
KID-Institut is not liable for damages arising from the use or unavailability of the services offered, unless caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct by the association or its governing bodies.
In any case, each member shall indemnify and hold harmless the association — including in relation to third parties — in all respects, where third-party claims are based on conduct by the member that is in breach of contract or unlawful.
KID-Institut accepts no liability for the content of linked external websites or for content contributed by members.
6. Code of Conduct
Members agree to use KID-Institut's services solely for lawful and non-profit purposes and to refrain from the following:
- Distributing unlawful, offensive or misleading content
- Unauthorised access to systems or data of other members
- Sharing access credentials with third parties
- Commercial exploitation of provided materials without express permission
- Actions that impair the operation of the platform
7. Intellectual Property
All content, programmes and materials created by KID-Institut are protected by copyright. Reproduction, distribution or adaptation beyond personal use requires the written consent of KID-Institut. Members may use provided materials exclusively for their own personal educational and research purposes.
8. Termination of Membership
Members may cancel their membership at any time by written notice to office@kid-institut.org. Membership fees already paid are generally non-refundable unless there is a justified reason.
KID-Institut may terminate membership with immediate effect in the event of a serious breach of these Terms of Use.
9. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
For disputes arising from the membership relationship, the court of competent jurisdiction in Scheibbs (Austria) shall have local jurisdiction, to the extent permitted by law.
10. Amendments to these Terms
KID-Institut reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. Members will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of the services after the amended terms take effect constitutes acceptance. These Terms of Use will be revised and extended in the near future.
